events ephemera people about home
An old vacant corner store, a clubhouse, a serious gallery, a social experiment, a room with four walls and a radiator CORNERSHOP existed at 82 Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo, NY from 1997-2000. Poems were read there, performances were made, paintings, drawings, and prints were shown, installations were installed, music was played, videos and films were projected, and beer was always one dollar. It was international, it was local, it was small time with big-names and big time with no-names.
