The Bear does Carolee Geffrye Museum Gardens, London PROJECT LIST
This 40-minute performance was a reworking of Carolee Schneemann’s gallery performance Interior Scroll. It was presented as part of OMSK ROAM (not building roam, in a day), an out door event on three back streets of Shoreditch, London. The main street of the event faced the back gardens of the Geffrye Museum. Although the organisers had not succeeded in gaining any collaboration with the museum or permissions I chose to place my bear in the museum gardens where those at the festival could watch me through a wrought iron gate and visitors of the museum could view me through the windows of the café or while walking in the gardens.
